FAQ

WHAT INSURANCE PLANS DO YOU ACCEPT?

Currently, I do not accept insurance.

HOW MUCH IS A SESSION?

The fee is $135 per 45-minute session.

DO YOU OFFER A SLIDING SCALE?

I offer a limited amount of sliding scale slots which are for a reduced fee per session. Please inquire for more information.

CAN I USE OUT-OF-NETWORK BENEFITS?

If you decide to use out-of-network benefits, you will pay for your session out of pocket 48 hours prior to your session and I would provide you with documentation at the end of every month to provide to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please note that you would have to contact your insurance to confirm whether they will provide reimbursement.

ARE THERE BENEFITS TO PAYING OUT OF POCKET?

Not using insurance gives you more control over your treatment with fewer limitations. Many individuals choose this option as using insurance requires a diagnosis and often only approves you for a certain number of sessions.

HOW LONG DOES ONE STAY IN THERAPY?

Therapy is tailored to each client. Longer-term therapy may be necessary for some while shorter-term therapy may be a fit for others. If you are benefiting from therapy, you are welcome to continue. You are also free to let me know when you feel like you are ready to reduce the frequency of sessions or terminate sessions.

DO YOU PROVIDE IN-PERSON THERAPY?

My practice is fully online and as a result, I only provide therapy through telehealth.

HOW DO YOU BRING SOCIAL JUSTICE INTO YOUR WORK?

I incorporate social justice into my work by giving space to discuss how your identity informs your experience outside of therapy. I also will often encourage you to consider how your identity is impacting your experience during therapy as well. As a social justice-oriented therapist, it is my duty to continually work toward challenging my own personal biases while giving space to acknowledge any privileges that I hold that may impact your experience in therapy.
